May 24th - The Upgrades

First order of business, I am linking the original form that started me down this rabbit hole ( link ). My first upgrades was a simple oil filled shock upgrade to stop the car from flipping over as much, nothing much. After that, I had a need for speed. I ordered a brush-less RC car motor kit off of Alibaba ( link ), and waited for about a month. After receiving it, I spent the following weekend incorporating the superior electronics into my design. It was like a day and night difference. I could go so fast, I felt the need to turn the top speed down in the fear that I might crash and total the car. My interest started to fade out after that. I had achieved what I wanted.

May 22nd - A Birthday Gift

This is one of my biggest, longest lasting project. I started this on my birthday of 2016. Now, at that age (nine years old), most kids would have received a few video games for their console, a new bicycle, or even some articles of clothing. In sharp contrast, I recieved a one year subscription to the "Fortune" magazine, a magic school bus science kit ( link ), and a hobby grade RC car. This car immediately surpassed my previous toy mass-market car. I mean, my new car could drive on grass without getting stuck!  I know, I had low exceptions. This car isn't that very high end for the hobbyist market, in fact, it is merely considered a Chinese knockoff a better known brand. But to nine year old me, it might as well have held the land speed record.  Naturally, I was very excited for a few weeks, then my commitment sizzled out.
